On the top of the cover it has a circle, Triangle inside the circle and an arrow Inside the triangle, then under is the Date 1954r. Also has a diamond shape below the date. The serial # is stamped into the rear receiver cover. All the other parts have the same serial number. Proof marks mostly. I’ve been meaning to take the time to learn more on them but the 3 (or maybe 4) digit number in the barrel is the barrel’s serial number. From what I’ve seen barrels aren’t serialized with the receivers but I could have only seen replacements too. If anyone has a good resource I’d love to see itI have one that has the same number on the magazine bottom, trigger guard, reciever, & bolt carrier, but has a different marking on the rear housing and a different number on the stock. The other one is even more random. I saw pictures somewhere of an SKS with the marks filled in flush with paint for some reason.
